UNC Blows Out Michigan St. 89-72

The North Carolina Tar Heels broke 2 records in the first half of the National Championship Game. First, they scored 55 points, one record. Second, the led by 21 points, another record. Everyone watching the game at half time was pretty sure N. Carolina was going to win. They kept that lead in the second half and won their fifth National Championship, second in five years. Ty Lawson led the Tar Heels with 21 points, 6 assists and 8 steals, after leaving for the first round because of a toe injury. Wayne Ellington was the Final Four MVP, totaling 39 points, 8 3's, 13 rebounds and 4 assists.
